・ The Account Manager is required to thoroughly understand their respective
systems and requirements in Japan with reporting and implementation. This is
achieved through regularly scheduled visits to the customer facilities throughout Japan.
・Develop and enhance relationships within each customer. Understand their needs and represent the best position.
・ Identify vehicle platforms and respective key personnel as they relate to applications of the product.
・Create and continually update aggressive sales plans with critical tasks towards generation of all potential product opportunities at each respective customer.
・ Generate customer letters, quotations, and correspondence consistent with the needs of the Customer.
・Foster a strong; team oriented approach with the respective Program Managers
covering each respective customer.
・ Foster a strong; team oriented approach with the Asian Focus Team,Technologies Korea, and our various European offices. This will require regular, sometimes nightly communication with our headquarters to coordinate efforts at each respective customer.
・Compliment the efforts of the Program Managers by assisting in the program definition,
prototype stages, management review, and launch the process.
・BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
・Strong written and verbal communication.
・ Strong relationship building capability.
・Travel to customer facilities weekly as required with overnight stays. Willingness to entertain customers.
・ Minimum 5 years in the automotive industry with a related job function.
・5-10 years direct OEM account management experience.
・Experience in interior trim, electronics, or lighting sales required.
・Understanding of Japanese and American business cultures.
・Bilingual - Japanese/English required
