Responsible for managing logistic and physical inventory control functions to serve the company's strategic and tactical needs. Principal responsibilities include managing activities relating to import trade & customs compliance, receiving, material handling, shipping, cycle counting, and 3rd Party Logistic (3PL) management. Develops and maintains metrics to track performance to defined objectives.
Warehousing & Distribution
*Oversee and manage all 3PL warehouses and operations.
*Team Management of 2 Logistics Specialist, Pharmacist.
*Track 3PL metrics, review 3PL monthly bill and break down/track charges, carrier claims, inventory management- returns, credits, expired, damaged, inspection, shipping/In-transit issues, and address open issues.
*Oversee and manage Company procedures associated with Inventory Record Integrity.
*Strong inter-personal and communication skills, comfortable working in a complex matrix organization
*Ability to set up right priorities and allocating resources
*Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain management, engineering or similar discipline, and a minimum of 5 years in logistics; of which, 2 years of managerial and people management is required. Must have the ability to develop individuals and establish positive team dynamics.
*Established track record of being detail-oriented. Willing and able to personally handle the standard work of the import compliance function.
*Proven ability to manage and function well within a complex reporting relationship, and satisfy accountabilities to a wide range of internal and external customers.
*Strong communication skills.
*Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and IT systems in relation to supply chain and distribution dependencies.
*Process oriented and results driven, with strong planning and execution skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
*Ability to work well with others.
*Works in a pleasant office environment with other department staff, utilizing a computer workstation and various software applications, frequent interaction with production. Specific work schedule is coordinated with direct supervisor.
*Travel requirement: Some local and global travel required ‐ typically not to exceed 10%.
