||The Advanced Business Analytics Specialist in CI&A will help us to evolve on our journey towards utilizing Advanced Analytics and Big Data for pharmaceutical business analytics.
He/she will analyze a growing amount of business related data, find new correlations between promotional efforts and business performance, build advanced sales forecasting algorithms and operationalize ROI analytics.
Enhance operational effectiveness in data handling and analytics (40%)
Enhance data integration and availability via data lake / data warehouse solutions
Work with related data generating business functions, such as Field Information
Management, Contact Center, Event Management etc. to help them integrate their data for
Boost efficiency of data update tasks in CI&A and related business functions by
automating data feed and data extraction processes, streamlining and simplifying production and delivery of information required for business management
Perform Advanced Analytics with innovative tools such as R / RStudio and other applicable solutions and interpret and communicate results and recommendations to brand managers / business stakeholders. Effectively explain insights, findings and analysis limitations or data caveats to business partners.
Provide accurate data timely to support better commercial decision making and address specific business questions (e.g. predict sales impact of new indications, change of market environment, competitive entries etc.)
Experience in data management and effectively operating within IT infrastructure (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, cloud solutions such as AWS) min 2-4 years
Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Python (e.g. pandas, theano, scikit-learn), Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL & Java programming etc. min 2-4 years
Excellent understanding of what kind of data leads to what kind of results are expected
Making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to
effectively solve problems
Business acumen and knowledge of pharmaceutical business model preferable
Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environments across global teams and
explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
Proficient presentation, facilitation, negotiation and problem-solving skills both in
Japanese and English
Preferable a PHD or Master’s degree in mathematics / statistics and 5 years of analytics or forecasting experience
