||To assist Senior Counsel in providing professional legal counsel and advice to the organization.
To work with other teams to solve legal issues and establish an effective system to reduce potential risks.
Initially, this position will focus on data security and work closely with the supervisor of Corporate Security & System.
Successor to Senior Counsel
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
・Draft and review contracts.
・Draft and review policies and procedures.
・Prepare corporate documents under supervision.
・Provide advice to business partners regarding legal risks in various aspects of business transactions and corporate governance.
・Plan, prepare, and deploy legal trainings to the organization.
・Establish legal filing system and manage files, books, and reference material.
・Manage outside counsel under supervision.
・Support Senior Counsel in preparation of management report, advise to the executives, and any other tasks required by the management.
||Competencies : Highest standard of integrity, high aspiration, detail oriented, logical, self-driven, mature, credible, organizational awareness, clear and concise speaker/writer.
Language Skills: Fluency in Japanese and English.
Qualification: Minimum BA in law. Admitted to practice law in Japan or Anglo-American based jurisdiction. Without lawyer qualification, five to ten years experience as an in-house legal staff at reputable corporations/law firm.
