-Understand and implement our values and ensure a balance of commercial and social benefit in all projects.
-Create and execute project work plans and budgets and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements, incorporating feedback of a diverse group of stakeholders.
-Manage all day-to-day operational aspects of each project
-Effectively apply our development methodology and enforce project standards, including all relevant documentation
-Implement quality assurance procedures, evaluate, understand and mitigate project risks
-Technical due diligence as required during the investment process, including management of service providers
-Develop and expand Company relationships with senior management at architectural firms, construction firms, consultants, designers, and contractors, and make appropriate recommendations to Senior Management as relevant
-Ensure that Health & Safety, environmental and internal reporting requirements are met in all development related projects
Key internal relationships:
-Chief Representative Japan
-Investment Team members, Asset Management Team members, Finance Team members in Tokyo
-Hong Kong, Shanghai and London based Project Development Team members
-Good degree in Architecture or other property development related field, or very strong professional track record.
-Minimum 8 years working experience with not less than 3 years Project Management experience with developer/architect/construction firm of the highest standard
-Current qualification as Architect and/or Quantity Surveyor preferred, but may be waived for a candidate with exceptional professional experience.
-Proven track record of relevant achievements in high quality developments
-Familiar with all aspects of the development process: from pre-acquisition evaluation through to handover
-Experience negotiating with local government bodies
-Up to date knowledge of building design, interior design, construction processes and relevant construction related laws essential
-Passion for design and a strong interest in current trends in design and construction
-Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
-Strong project management and cost analysis skills
-ArchiCAD experience preferred
