||・Support Project Team in Business Development activities to include: assistance with disseminating RFQ’s to the appropriate parties, building a strong rapport with current or potential customers
・Support customer with technical information regarding products and past performance
・Support Project Team with getting technical and program information from customers
・Serve as liaison between Customer and company
・Facilitate and participate in meetings between the program team and the customer with onsite support and representation
・Keep Project Team updated with program timing and other details
・Understand customer requirements, and translate back to project team
・Work with customer on cost reduction opportunities
・Understand Customer Systems
・Support OEM Manufacturing and Service Engineering
・Appropriate and timely communication between company and the customer
・Provide vehicle application and voice of the customer input to component peer reviews, design reviews, and gate reviews
・Identify, track and support new business opportunities
・Facilitate the seamless operation of the company's change management process with the customer’s process
・Participates in customer spec reviews and sales calls
・Plans and executes effective customer orientations on both new customers and existing customers receiving company's products
・Has daily interaction with the Sales team in their particular region; Supports Sales when they have questions or concerns on specifications, compatibility, or overall performance
・Participates in projects; Researches components regarding failures and maintenance operations; the specialist will be involved in Kaizen events with Sales, where process mapping and input for improvements in efficiency are needed
・For larger orders, attendance may be needed to pilot reviews with both the OEMs and the customer to orient the customer on specifications or offer recommendations for future orders
・Build, develop and maintain customer relationships
・Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical or Electronics technical or similar engineering discipline
・1+ year experience in automotive, resident engineer, or similar.
・Working knowledge of networking (connector / cable)
・Working knowledge of standard IT tools (e.g. CAD)
・Must be self-motivated and goal oriented.
・Must speak fluent Japanese and English.
・Strongly required work experience with Japanese Automotive OEM.
・Automotive OEM products development process and specifications
・Strong listening skills and a customer, quality, and team focus
・Technical analysis document development such as FMEA, DFMEA, FTA, etc
・Knowledge of Automotive product environmental test requirements.
